I have worked for over 35 years as an educator, with a focus on helping students improve their writing. I have worked with second language students in adult education programs, with college students who are developing skills to succeed in an American university, with 11th grade American Literature students, and with middle school home school communities.  I find that in all of my work my greatest goal is to build community where students feel they are valuable and have something to contribute to the class and outward from there, to the world. The most productive learning happens when students believe their voices can add to an academic discourse that is already there.

At StarWriting, I offer individual and group writing instruction online and/or in person.
